The seminar provides Navy Culinary Specialists information and skills needed to operate in a wardroom both ashore and afloat. During the seminar students prepare and serve a formal meal they would expect to serve to distinguished visitors and foreign dignitaries.

Members of the Fort Drum Culinary Arts Team shared their skills and experience with competition-style cooking with culinary students, March 28-30, at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi), in Mexico, New York. The student chefs were tasked with preparing a four-course meal within four hours, and then presenting and serving their cuisine to 40 guests. The culinary specialists from the 10th Mountain Division (LI) have recently returned from the Joint Culinary Training Event at Fort Lee, Virginia, and they were eager to share their knowledge with the group of talented students. High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware (HUNCH) students from 6 schools meet at the U.S. Space and Rocket center in order to participate in the annual culinary challenge where students create meals suitable for astronaut use in space. GREAT LAKES (July 14, 2022) Teams from Navy galleys throughout the world each prepared an entree and an appetizer during competition at the Commander, Navy Installations Command Culinary Competition, taking place at Naval Station Great Lakes, July 14. Seven teams consisting of three chefs each from most Navy regions competed to be called the best chefs in CNIC. This is the seventh time the CNIC Culinary Competition took place at Great Lakes.

Reportage on organic producers working using a community-shared agriculture model in Haute-Savoie, France. Rémi has been an organic fruit and vegetable grower since 2011. In 2013 he was contacted by some consumers to create a community-supported agriculture model. He grows 35 types of vegetables throughout the year and only works with a local distribution network. Twice a week he goes to the distribution point to meet the consumers and hand over their baskets of organic produce. The vegetables handed out at the end of the afternoon were picked the same morning. The consumers who are part of the community-shared agriculture system organize the distribution.
