The temple was built about one hundred meters northeast of the temple of Pharaoh Ramesses II and dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Ramesses II's chief consort, Nefertari, circa 1255 BC. Nefertari, also known as Nefertari Meritmut, was an Egyptian queen and the first of the Great Royal Wives (or principal wives) of Ramesses the Great.

Date: ca. 1479-1458 B.C..This over life-size kneeling statue and two others in the collection (29.3.1 and 30.3.1) were made to flank the processional pathway along the axis of Hatshepsut's temple at Deir el-Bahri. They depict Hatshepsut as the ideal Egyptian king - a young man in the prime of life. Each statue has an inscription that includes her personal name, Hatshepsut (literally foremost of noblewomen) and/or a feminine pronoun or verb form, so the masculine garb and physique were not intended to trick people into thinking that she was a man. Although traditionally the Egyptian throne passed from father to son, when the necessity arose, a female ruler was accepted. A photograph taken of the Abu Simbel Temple, in Nubia, Southern Egypt, near the border with Sudan. The complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple dates to the 13th century BC, during the 19th dynasty reign of the Pharaoh Ramesses II. It is a monument to the king and commemorates his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. The complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968 under the supervision of a Polish archaeologist, Kazimierz Michalowski, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir.

Tomb of Ramesses III, Pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty in Ancient Egypt. reigned from 1186 to 1155 BC and is considered to be the last monarch of the New Kingdom to wield any substantial authority over Egypt. Tomb KV11 is located in the main valley of the Valley of the Kings. The tomb has been open since antiquity, and has been known variously as Bruce's Tomb (named after James Bruce who entered the tomb in 1768) and The Harper's Tomb (due to paintings of two blind harpers in the tomb).

Block Statue of Nedjem ca. 1184-1153 B.C. New Kingdom, Ramesside Nedjem held the office of "god's Father" in the mortuary temple of King Merneptah during the reign of Ramesses III; the cartouches of both rulers are inscribed on his shoulders. His statue bears inscriptions on all four sides; the front panel contians an offering prayer addressed to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Depictions of Nedjem's wife and son appear on the right and left sides respectively. Nedjem dedicated this statue in the Eleventh Dynasty temple of Mentuhotpe II at Deir el Bahri so that he might partake of the offerings made to the gods worshipped there. The lopsided features and crude incised inscription indicate the decline in artistic quality whichi is frequently encountered in the sculpture of the Twentieth Dynasty.. Limestone statue of Tjay and Naya, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty (c.1550-1295 BC). This excellently preserved statue depicts a couple seated, and wearing fine clothes and elaborate wigs whose intricate details are faithfully portrayed by the sculptor. Naya affectionately has her right hand on her husband's shoulder. On the back the couple is shown in relief sitting at an offering table facing the lady "Tinr". Giza, Memphite region, Saqqara. The Great Sphinx of Giza. limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Facing directly from West to East, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the Pharaoh Khafre. Cut from the bedrock, the original shape of the Sphinx has been restored. It measures 238 feet (73 m) long (circa 25582532 BC).

Old Kingdom This large fragment preserves part of a colossal representation of an unidentified goddess who was certainly taking part in a ritual involving the king. The eye was originally filled with inlays of black and white stone that must have given the face a startlingly lifelike appearance. Awe-inspiring compositions of large figures, showing the king interacting with gods, dominated the walls of pyramid complexes of the later Fifth and Sixth Dynasties..
