A photograph taken of the Abu Simbel Temple, in Nubia, Southern Egypt, near the border with Sudan. The complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple dates to the 13th century BC, during the 19th dynasty reign of the Pharaoh Ramesses II. It is a monument to the king and commemorates his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. The complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968 under the supervision of a Polish archaeologist, Kazimierz Michalowski, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir.

Relief with two officials or sons of the Vizier Dagi ca. 2010-2000 B.C. or ca. 2000-1981 B.C. Middle Kingdom Dagi was a treasurer and vizier during the late years of Mentuhotep II (2010-2000 B.C.) and the reign of Mentuhotep III (ca. 2000-1988 B.C.). His rock-cut tomb, which has the traditional shape of a "saff"-tomb with a pillared facade, overlooked the Asasif valley (the eastern extension of Deir el-Bahri). Owing to the friable consistency of the rock, the massive pillars had to be strengthened with brick. Both the brick and rock segments of the pillars were covered with plaster and painted with scenes from daily life.Unusually, the corridor into the interior started from the tomb facade, not from the transverse hall behind the pillars, as was the norm. It led to an interior offering chapel. Both the corridor and the chapel were cased in fine limestone and decorated with painted reliefs. In religion-mythology, Death and Resurrection of Osiris is a core story of Egyptian mythology, the most famous of them all, wherein Osiris is killed by his brother Set, for insult sleeping with Set's wife Nephthys, by accident (Osiris thinking Nephthys was his wife Isis, twin sister to Nephthys), who is then chopped into pieces, then reassembled into a mummy by Isis, then resurrected by the combined powers of Isis and Thoth, who stops time long enough for the revived Osiris to magically impregnate Isis, who then gives birth to Horus, who then avenges his father's death by killing Set, therein bring order back to the cosmos

A photograph taken within Tomb KV1, located in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, used for the burial of Pharaoh Ramesses VII of the Twentieth Dynasty. Although it has been open since antiquity, it was only adequately investigated and cleared by Edwin Brock in 1984 and 1985. The single corridor tomb itself is located in Luxor's West Bank and is small in comparison to other tombs of the twentieth dynasty. Usermaatre Setepenre Meryamun Ramesses VII (also written Ramesses and Ramesses) was the sixth pharaoh of the twentieth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He reigned from about 1136 to 1129 BC and was the son of Ramesses VI. The decoration within the passageway of the tomb contains illustrations from the Book of Gates, the Book of Caverns as well as the Book of the Earth. The walls of the burial chamber are decorated with extracts from the Book of the Earth.

Tomb of Ramesses III, Pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty in Ancient Egypt. reigned from 1186 to 1155 BC and is considered to be the last monarch of the New Kingdom to wield any substantial authority over Egypt. Tomb KV11 is located in the main valley of the Valley of the Kings. The tomb has been open since antiquity, and has been known variously as Bruce's Tomb (named after James Bruce who entered the tomb in 1768) and The Harper's Tomb (due to paintings of two blind harpers in the tomb).

This watercolor copy depicts the queen (left) being led by the goddess Isis (right). Noteworthy is that Nefertari's husband, Ramses II, is absent in these scenes, indicating the queen's high status that allowed her to directly interact with the deities without him; such depictions would not be possible for non-royal individuals.
