The church was restored in 1950. German-born photographer and scholar Max Hutzel (1911-1988) photographed in Italy from the early 1960s until his death. The result of this project, referred to by Hutzel as Foto Arte Minore, is thorough documentation of art historical development in Italy up to the 18th century, including objects of the Etruscans and the Romans, as well as early Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Images are organized by geographic region in Italy, then by province, city, site complex and monument.

Tuscany Grosseto Pieve ad Lamulas Parrocchiale4. Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 The foundations of this parish church date from before 1000, and the church itself dates from the 13th century. It was restored 1932-40. Exterior photos include a view, the facade, and the semicircular apsidal chapels (the oldest remaining portion of the church). Views of the interior include the nave, altar and aisles. Sculptural photos include a wooden Madonna & Child and architectural details, such as capitals with vegetal and animal motifs.
