Hercules Farnese, Jacob Bos, 1562 print Statue of Hercules, known as Hercules of Farnese. Hercules, muscular and heavily built, is naked in a niche and leans on his club. The lion skin hangs over the club. In the third century AD, the statue was carved from Marble to an antique sculpture by Glycon and is currently in National Archaeological Museum of Naples. Previously it was in Palazzo Farnese, from where it got his name. On a rock next to Hercules a few words in Greek.
