The west rose window at the cathedral in Chartres, France, may be the source for the imagery and tracery. In stark contrast to the window at Chartres, however, is the use of color. While medieval stained-glass windows incorporate bright primary colors, this Tiffany window is distinguished by subtle, shaded, ethereal hues. The delicately painted, partially hidden faces of the angels are a reference to the elegance and classicism of the pre-Raphaelite movement. Symbols of the Evangelists appear in the outer roundels;

Lunette and decorative panel, one of twelve, 1884-1885, Louis Henri Sullivan; Maker: Northwestern Terra Cotta Works (a.k.a. Norweta), American, 1856-1924, Terracotta, United States, Chicago Style, Louis Sullivan designed these terracotta panels for the exterior of the Scoville Building in Chicago, one of the Adler and Sullivan firm's earliest commissions. It required them to remodel an existing Adler structure to accord with a new, much larger addition. The terracotta pieces shown here formed part of the organic decoration of stylized plants with which Sullivan tied the two buildings together. This lunette ornamented the arch above the windows of the top (fifth) story. It has an undulating design of ferns unfurling and would have complemented other organically-inspired terracotta pieces throughout the exterior.

Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 Exterior views of part of the former Villa Frigeri, which along with a neighboring palazzo, houses the Museo Nazionale di Antichita. Views also of the gardens, fountain (17th century) and the restored interior. The so-called "Capestrano Warrior" (5th century B.C.) is found in the Antiquities core collection under Men, Youths, Warriors--Stone--Etruscan, Italic. Hutzel views include statues, funerary monuments, portrait busts and mosaics, many of which were excavated from Alba Fucens. Hutzel paid particular attention to the colossal statue of Hercules (late Hellenistic); the funerary temple reliefs of Lucius Storax; various nudes, torsos and heads, including the portrait bust of Agrippina Minore and the sepulchral portrait relief of Lucius Poditius (1st century A.D.); gravestones with inscriptions and bas-reliefs; Roman coins; bronze figurines (mainly warriors); and bronze vessels, utensils, helmets and ornaments.

Lazio Viterbo Bagnaia Villa Lante2. Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 German-born photographer and scholar Max Hutzel (1911-1988) photographed in Italy from the early 1960s until his death. The result of this project, referred to by Hutzel as Foto Arte Minore, is thorough documentation of art historical development in Italy up to the 18th century, including objects of the Etruscans and the Romans, as well as early Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Images are organized by geographic region in Italy, then by province, city, site complex and monument.

Kiyevskaya is a station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. Opened in 1953, it is lavishly decorated in the quasi-baroque style that predominated in the early 1950s. The square pylons are faced with white Ural marble and elaborately patterned ceramic tile and the plastered ceiling is decorated with a series of frescoes by various artists depicting life in Ukraine. A large mosaic at the end of the platform commemorates the 300th anniversary of the reunification of Russia and Ukraine. The architects were L. V. Lile, V. A. Litvinov, M. F. Markovsky, and V. M. Dobrokovsky.
