The alcove has the shape of a broad niche, with a spherical ceiling above the entablature. The main entrance and two lateral secondary entrances are suggested. Above: the main entrance has the shape of a Palladian arch with hermae as inner supports. Outside are pillars. Above the entablature is a pedestal, rising in the center, with a vase on top. Laterally are lower walls with book shelves beside the doors. Below are panels of a dado. In the center above the entablature stand busts. Below: a variation of the before mentioned project. The arch is not Palladian; it is supported by embedded columns. Above the entablature, in the center, is a medallion with a bust between hanging garlands. At the places of the busts are vases.
