The Night Vehierzaal after the renovation of 1983/1984. Night vandelzaal Seen to the southeast with the southwand on the right view of the Nightwatch. Curry. The renovation of 1983/1984 is just ready here. The original situation has come to its own. For a good exposure of the night watch, a newly lowered skylight is hung in space. The original skylight has been updated. The raveel structure of the skylight is still original and consists of composite iron beams (riveted), which is worn by four marble columns with karyatides. These have been re-inspected by removal of the paneling. The Karyatides represent the morning, the day, evening and night. The painted decoration on, Frisian is a fired reconstruction. Originally the decoration was much more extensive and the Frisian contained the most important data from Rembrandt's life. Tim For Thought -- Pietro Annigoni in This Florence Studio .Pietro Annigoni the Italian Painter, Whose recent portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, has been published and acclaimed the world over, has returned to his hometown Florence.He has taken up again his life of painting in his studio in the Via Albizzi, near the Cathedral, to where he cycles ever morning from his home on the outskirts of the city. Lee Krasner in her studio in East Hampton, New York, 1962. Lenore (Lee) Krassner (October 27, 1908 - June 19, 1984) was an American abstract expressionist painter in the second half of the 20th century. She is one of the few female artists to have had a retrospective show at the Museum of Modern Art. She worked in painting, collage painting, charcoal drawing, and occasionally mosaics. She would often cut apart her own drawings and paintings to create her collage paintings. She also commonly revised or completely destroyed an entire series of works due to her critical nature. As a result, her surviving body of work is relatively small. She died in 1984, age 75, from natural causes.

Her Private View Of 'Reclining Figure' -- With no orthodox head and much of the torso hollowed out, this Festival sculpture of a 'Reclining Figure' is shown receiving a careful survey from Mary Moore, small daughter of the sculptor, Henry Moore, at his home at Perry Green, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.The work, which has taken Mr. Moore eight months to do, is to be displayed at the South Bank Exhibition (London) during the Festival of Britain, and is likely to prove one of the most discussed pieces on view.It was commissioned by the Arts Council of Great Britain.
