Each album opening (except the last) shows four tulens, two per leaf. The tulips are supplemented with insects, shells, berries and other flowers on every leaf. The weight and prices of the tulip bulbs are on a few blades. Band of red fabric with embroidery and frills, in front and two paper blades. On the verso of the front cover, a contemporary handwritten list of the tulips shown per opening, numbered 1 to 42. shows that the first opening (two sheets) in the album is missing. The last three blades in this album are not mentioned in the list. On the front cover the ex libris of Ernst H. Krellage.

British Isles Sketchbook Francis William Edmonds (American, 1806-1863). British Isles Sketchbook, 1841. Graphite on cream, moderately thick, slightly textured wove paper, 4 3/4 x 6 5/16 x 1/4 in. (12.1 x 16 x 0.6 cm). Francis William Edmonds used this sketchbook during his three-week journey through the British Isles, recording important monuments he encountered along the way in places such as Warwick, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stratford-upon-Avon. In one of the most striking sketches, combining precise outlines and exacting details, Edmonds rendered the Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles of Jedburgh Abbey, looming over the Scottish town. Since he was primarily a genre painter, this sketchbook provides a rare example of his work in land- and townscape composition. American Art 1841

Linen runner with knocking edges at the ends. Linen runner with benches of clusting side on the short lace edges, antwerp side. The repeating and ongoing lace pattern consists of a regularly wavy leaf drink with a large curly rosette flower in each golf valley and a smaller down curly rosette flower under each wave top. The leaves have many different shapes and fillings. The motifs are connected by a braid ground. And they are made in linselag with openwork edges. Different ornamental grounds are used in the leaves, including fine and coarser snowflakes. Motifiers are made in the flower hearts in shape stroke. The straight bottom of the strips are finished with picots.

All photos concern shop interiors of butcher shops, grocery stores, bakers and drugstores. The stores are located throughout the Netherlands, although Amsterdam is more common than other cities. Each photo has handwritten captions of the name of the store, address and the city. Of all the photos, the maker is anonymous, except for the first photo. The article 'The merits of a cash register' by Fleur Rosa de Carvalho shows that this is a presentation album, commissioned by the National Cash Register, the manufacturer of cash registers that are on the counter in the photographed stores.
