CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- NASA's Pegasus barge, carrying the Space Shuttle Program's last external fuel tank, ET-122, arrives at the Turn Basin of NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The tank traveled 900 miles by sea from NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. Next, the tank will be offloaded and moved to the Vehicle Assembly Building where it eventually will be attached to space shuttle Endeavour for the STS-134 mission to the International Space Station. STS-134, targeted to launch in Feb. 2011, currently is scheduled to be the last mission in the Space Shuttle Program. The tank, which is the largest element of the space shuttle stack, was damaged during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 and restored to flight configuration by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company employees.

Replica of the Japanese radar steam ship Kanko Maru, built in 1987 at Verolme, christened in Amsterdam in Amsterdam, in the locks of Ijmuiden on the way to Nagasaki with destination The Theme Park Huis ten Bosch in Sasebo (Japan). The radar steam ship, a 3-mast top sailing schooner (Jackass-Barque) with auxiliary steam drive, Zr.Ms. SOEMBING (1853-1855) has been transferred to Japan in 1855 by the Netherlands as the first steamship ever for the Japanese navy. Subsequently, the Royal Netherlands Marine has also taken out courses and training courses of the Japanese navy to introduce the Japanese to the state of the art of Western shipbuilding and learning to deal with propulsion D.M.v. steam. The goal was enforcement and improvement of trade relations with Japan. After the acquisition by Japan is the ship rebuilt in Kank Maru (1855-1876).
