Her deafness was detected when she was 10 months old and she had implants for the first time when she was 17 months and then again at 3. She said her first word when she was 22 months old. She started having speech therapy when she was 13 months old, and still has sessions twice a week.

Reportage on the daily life of Oscar, a 3 and a half-year old boy who has type 1 diabetes. Oscar has a glucose sensor and insulin pump. He started nursery school this year. His parents had to train the schools personnel in how to control and regulate his blood sugar levels throughout the day. Its the last day at school before the holidays, the children make pancakes to celebrate carnaval, but Oscar cant eat them with his friends. He has to wait until lunchtime before eating plain pancakes.

Montessori education psychology used in the school aims to develop the autonomy, desire and curiosity of the child. Every useless help given to the child becomes an obstacle to its development said Maria Montessori. The children have specific materials available, each can choose the exercise they wish to carry out. In this exercise, the child must fill a bowl with water. The child then has several options : make bubbles in the water using a straw, or blow into the straw to push a small boat along.
