Three wet nurses and two infants, Esaias Boursse, 1662 There are three women outside, most likely feeders of different origins. The left woman, with African appearance and short-shaved frizzy hair, wears a long wrap skirt (Redda) and a Portuguese blouse with v-neck and long sleeves (hate). Her breasts are visible under the edge of the blouse. In her waist, an elongated object stands out above the skirt: perhaps a meshift. The woman in the middle only wears a wrap skirt (Redda) and a headscarf hanging on her back. The child she wears on her left hip has thick wavy hair and is possibly Eurasian. The origin of the woman is not clear, but possibly Tamil or Singalese of Lage Kaste, just like the woman on the right. She also only wears a wrap skirt (Redda), no outerwear. She has thick wavy hair, probably stabbed back in a Wrong (Condé). Her hands, with which she holds the infant on her left hip, hide under the textile that also partly covers the child. It can be her blouse pulled out (hate)

The frescoes (late fifteenth, early sixteenth centuries) are mainly of various saints: SS. Stefano, Valentino, Bernardino, Antonio, Sebastiano, Filippo, Bordonio, Simone, Macario, Sebastiano, Caterina, Apollonia, Battista, Pietro, Paolo, and Michele. Object Notes: Hutzel photo campaign date: January 7, 1982 German-born photographer and scholar Max Hutzel (1911-1988) photographed in Italy from the early 1960s until his death. The result of this project, referred to by Hutzel as Foto Arte Minore, is thorough documentation of art historical development in Italy up to the 18th century, including objects of the Etruscans and the Romans, as well as early Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Images are organized by geographic region in Italy, then by province, city, site complex and monument.
