US Navy (USN) personnel from the Naval Mobility Construction Battalion, Port Huememe, California (CA), will begin their project, building a new school house at the Timehri Primary School, Timehri, Guyana, during Exercise NEW HORIZONS 2004-GUYANA. NEW HORIZONS 2004 is a joint service training exercise held in Guyana, co-sponsored by both the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) in Miami, Florida (FL) and the Guyana Defense Force (GDF). During this four-month exercise, a combined team of GDF and US military personnel will engage in construction projects and medical training activities that directly benefit the local community. The exercise will include up to three construction projects and two Medical Readiness Training Exercises (MEDRETE). Base: Timerhi State: Mahaica-Berbice Country: Guyana (GUY)
