Operating deep in the jungles of Burma, their mission was multi-faceted, encompassing guerrilla warfare, espionage, and sabotage against Japanese forces. Comprising a diverse group of individuals, from OSS agents to indigenous fighters, they effectively disrupted Japanese supply lines, gathered critical intelligence, and supported resistance movements.

Thirty three people died and 503 injured in this 1946 disaster in England during the math between Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City. The deaths occurred when two barriers collapsed. Most suffocated or were trampled. March 22, 1946.

Important Chinese City Back in Allied Hands - Changteh, a city in Northern Hunan, China, was recaptured by Chinese Forces in Dec. 9, 1943 after five days of Japanese occupation. The battle began from Nov. 18, 1943 while the Japanese invaders penetrated Northern Hunan Province because they failed to make and headway in West Hupeh. Changteh is a city of great strategic and economic importance. It is one of the important centers of the "Rice Bowl" region as well as the gateway of Changsha.
