Reportage on organic producers working using a community-shared agriculture model in Haute-Savoie, France. Rémi has been an organic fruit and vegetable grower since 2011. In 2013 he was contacted by some consumers to create a community-supported agriculture model. He grows 35 types of vegetables throughout the year and only works with a local distribution network: selling directly to consumers. As well as working with organic agriculture, he is setting up a permaculture system. Permaculture is a set of practices aimed at creating low-energy consumption agriculture, which respects living beings and their relationships, by leaving as much space as possible for wild nature. Rémi picks Jerusalem artichokes.

Portugal, Coimbra region, Loural on 2022-05-02. Report on the eco-village of Loural in the mountains of central Portugal. Here, the Klein family and their partners have been working on an ambitious project for a few years. The project is to rehabilitate a small village that has been abandoned since the year 2000 into an eco-location. On 30 hectares, the collective protects and improves the ecosystem by practising organic agriculture, reforestation and the production of green energy. In the process of restoration, this small stone village is moving towards food and energy autonomy and its vegetation is gradually coming back to life. Event-goers plant tree seedlings as Fort McCoy, Wis., held its annual Arbor Day celebration April 29, 2022, west of Gate 5 on the cantonment area at the installation. During the observance, Fort McCoy Garrison leadership and other installation personnel helped children from the post Child Development Center plant hundreds of trees. In the process of restoration, this small stone village is moving towards food and energy autonomy and its vegetation is gradually coming back to life. The Defense Supply Center Columbus Eagle Eye Golf Course has received the Monarchs in the Rough habitat designation from Audubon International. The program aims to create habitat for the Monarch butterfly and other pollinators in rough or out-of-play areas on golf courses nationwide. DSCC Environmental Division Chief Nicole Goicochea worked with DSCC Morale Welfare and Recreation to naturalize the rough areas of the course several years ago. Milkweed supplied by Audubon was planted in the spring of this year. The program is already a success with many of those plants seeing use from many Monarch caterpillars and adults already this season.
