Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 Exterior views of part of the former Villa Frigeri, which along with a neighboring palazzo, houses the Museo Nazionale di Antichita. Views also of the gardens, fountain (17th century) and the restored interior. The so-called "Capestrano Warrior" (5th century B.C.) is found in the Antiquities core collection under Men, Youths, Warriors--Stone--Etruscan, Italic. Hutzel views include statues, funerary monuments, portrait busts and mosaics, many of which were excavated from Alba Fucens. Hutzel paid particular attention to the colossal statue of Hercules (late Hellenistic); the funerary temple reliefs of Lucius Storax; various nudes, torsos and heads, including the portrait bust of Agrippina Minore and the sepulchral portrait relief of Lucius Poditius (1st century A.D.); gravestones with inscriptions and bas-reliefs; Roman coins; bronze figurines (mainly warriors); and bronze vessels, utensils, helmets and ornaments.

Zhao Mengfu courtesy name Ziang, pseudonyms Songxue ('Pine Snow'), Oubo ('Gull Waves'), and Shuijing-gong Dao-ren ('Master of the Crystal Palace'), was a prince and descendant of the Song Dynasty's imperial family, and a Chinese scholar, painter and calligrapher during the Yuan Dynasty. He was recommended by the Censor-in-chief Cheng Jufu to pay an audience with Kublai Khan in 1286 at the Yuan capital of Dadu, but was not awarded an important position in office. His work was however, greatly appreciated later by the Confucian-inspired Yuan Emperor Renzong.

5 of Horns, from The Cloisters Playing Cards ca. 1475-80 South Netherlandish The Cloisters set of fifty-two cards constitutes the only known complete deck of illuminated ordinary playing cards (as opposed to tarot cards) from the fifteenth century. There are four suits, each consisting of a king, queen, knave, and ten pip cards. The suit symbols, based on equipment associated with the hunt, are hunting horns, dog collars, hound tethers, and game nooses. The value of the pip cards is indicated by appropriate repetitions of the suit symbol. The figures, which appear to be based on Franco-Flemish models, were drawn in a bold, free, and engaging, if somewhat unrefined, hand. Their exaggerated and sometimes anachronistic costumes suggest a lampoon of extravagant Burgundian court fashions. Although some period card games are named, it is not known how they were played.
