Ruins of the Tafeesh family home and surrounding homes in Az Zaitoun. The home occupied by 12 members was bombed by Israeli forces during Israel days/long military offensive causing significant damage to surrounding homes. The adjacent home of the Abu Soreya family, who are refugees, was completely destroyed. Around 400 chickens that the Tafeesh family raised for income/generating were killed during the attack. Israel offensive left hundreds of Palestinians displaced, and at least 35 dead, including children, 73% of the Gaza Strip residents are refugees from ethnically cleansed towns in southern Palestine. A broken window caused by Hurricane Matthew is seen inside a support building in the Launch Complex 39 area at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Assessments and repairs are in progress at various structures and facilities across the spaceport, part of the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Matthew, which passed to the east of Kennedy on Oct. 6 and 7, 2016. The center received some isolated roof damage, damaged support buildings, a few downed power lines, and limited water intrusion. Beach erosion also occurred, although the storm surge was less than expected.
