The 2022 Human Resources Professional Development Training Course (HRPDTC), took place, April 20-22, 2022. Held both in person at the U.S. Naval War College and virtually, the three-day annual HRPDTC provided human resources (HR) officers with a deeper understanding of the MyNavy HR enterprise, MyNavy HR Transformation initiatives, and HR community issues. Through a blend of academic instruction, discussion sessions and practical exercises, students learned about recent changes in strategy; workforce planning; personnel policy, management and execution; force development; talent management; leadership theory; and how to integrate this knowledge to meet the Navy's current and future HR challenges and opportunities. The HRPDTC is offered through the HR Center of Excellence at Naval Education and Training Commands Center for Service Support.

The program is hosted by a different country each year, providing a unique educational experience for participants from around the world. NASA Kennedy Space Center and the Florida Institute of Technology are co-hosting this year's event which runs from June 4 to Aug. 3. There are about 125 participants representing 31 countries.

NASAs Ground Systems Development and Operations Program (GSDO) participates in a “Be Wise” program at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in San Diego, California. GSDO participated in several outreach events to students and the general public before the start of the Orion Underway Recovery Test 5 (URT-5) using a test version of the Orion crew module in the Pacific Ocean. URT-5 will allow NASA and the U.S. Navy to demonstrate and evaluate the recovery processes, procedures, hardware and personnel necessary for recovery of the Orion crew module on its return from a deep space mission. Orion is the exploration spacecraft designed to carry astronauts to destinations not yet explored by humans, including an asteroid and NASAs Journey to Mars. It will have emergency abort capability, sustain the crew during space travel and provide safe re-entry from deep space return velocities. Orion is

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - In the Kennedy Space Centers Press Site auditorium, members of the news media listen as NASA and contractor officials plans for the upcoming Orion flight test.Orion is the exploration spacecraft designed to carry astronauts to destinations not yet explored by humans, including an asteroid and Mars. It will have emergency abort capability, sustain the crew during space travel and provide safe re-entry from deep space return velocities. The first unpiloted flight test of Orion is scheduled to launch Dec. 4, 2014 atop a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket, and in 2018 on NASAs Space Launch System rocket.
