China, Jiangxi province, Jingdezhen, Qing dynasty (1644-1911), Qianlong mark and reign (1736-1795). Porcelain with famille rose overglaze enamel decoration; diameter: 15.5 cm (6 1/8 in.); overall: 7.6 cm (3 in.). The production of extraordinarily refined Qing imperial wares such as these could have involved the transportation of undecorated, plain porcelains from the imperial kilns in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, to the palace workshops in Beijing, where court painters applied the polychrome enamel decoration. The Qianlong reign mark on the base of the bowl is written with blue enamel over the transparent glaze.

Model of a Floating Beacon. Model of an iron driving beacon in the form of a small boat with a mast with a screen and a wind cane. The hull is round, equipped with a keel and with a clear distinction between front and stern; The top is closed and equipped with a manhole and a pump that is closed with a hexagonal screw cap. A harp closure for the anchor chain hangs on the keel, which can be placed in three different places. The mast stamped with a front and two baking stages, which are performed in strand of staff. The screen consists of three half circles, which are placed in the plane of the mast and the layers. The wind vane has a V-shaped cut-out.
