Dancing in the 1960s. The dance Hully Gully is being made popular and here are men and women dancing the new craze. Hully Gully was a type of unstructured line dance and consisted of a series of steps and was relatively simple and easy to execute. Hully Gully can be seen performed by actor John Belushi in the film Blues Brothers.

San Francisco, California February 18, 1946Showgirl performers at the Kubla Khan nightclub in San Francisco relax after hours, with the girl in front giving one of the others a "hot foot".

The Arc-en-Ciel was arguably Saigon's top night spot during the 1940s and 1950s. Located in Saigon's twin city of Cholon on Jaccareo Avenue - today's Tan Da - it features prominently in Graham Greene's 'The Quiet American' as the taxi dance venue where Thomas Fowler met and wooed Phuong.

Yvonne Keike winning the first heat of the Queensland Jitterbug Championship sponsored by the Tivoli these last night. Her acrobatic movements with partner Mick Lang, of Windsor, and the gyrations demanded in the dance, were athletic fervour (Mick is doubled back on the floor).
