The beer is transferred to racking-backs, large rectangular-shaped vessels, each with a capacity of 250 barrels and copper-lined. They serve as a means of transferring the beer to the casks ready for dispatch, free of any sediment from the fermenting vats. Date: 1909

Sandviken's ironworks (Sandvikens Jernverk). Wire rolling. The majority of this manufacture goes to the mill's own wire pull for further processing to cold-drawn or cold-rolled wire. Such wire is also sold to a large extent also cured and finely polished for particularly demanding purposes, for example for the beads.

The Malting Floor at the Mitchells and Butlers Cape Hill Brewery, Smethwick, West Midlands. Barley grain lies a foot deep on the floor for ten days, being constantly turned, until each grain sprouts roots, at which point it is ready for the kiln. Date: 1909

This early 1900s image shows workers for Inland Steel Company tapping the blast furnace. The company's business was reducing iron ore to steel. Its only steel mill was located in East Chicago, Indiana, on the Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal and a large landfill protruding out into Lake Michigan. Here we see the lower part of the great blast furnace. The white hot liquid iron sinks to the bottom and, freed from the slag, it is tapped and flows out, as you see in the picture, and is carried into huge brick-lined ladles. Each ladle holds 2t5 tons. Each ladle sits on its own little car and the whole train is filled at one heat. This train is run either to the open hearth furnace or to the pig-casting machines.

Sandviken's ironworks (Sandvikens Jernverk). Set of ore and drudged on blast furnace crans. Through the pure raw material, namely sulfur and phosphoric ores, as well as charcoal as fuel, and through the process's care caring is already founded in the blasting steel quality. Note that the various ore varieties are carefully weighed on the wave, as shown in the image, carries the bucket, the charcoal, to the right of the image, measured in the carbon housing and arrives at the rope to the blast crusher.
