The station opened 1.8.1862. One -storey station house in wood according to the Gnesta model. Mechanical gear. Electricity 1933. The station built in 1868. In the picture, Hästveda is satation under station manager Axel Åkerblom's time. Åkerblom retired in 1928.

At the front of the platform, on the right, stands the first station inspector at Hedesunda, Axel Bylander born in 1866. To the left of him is his family. To the right in the picture is in the direction of Sala.

First Lapland Expressent Walls Stationshus of Timmer, built by SJ. Architect Folke Zettervall.The June 19, 1903, the Lapland Express, the first fast and luxury train to Lapland from Stockholm Central. The train consisted of two sleeping carts in first class, a salon trolley, a restaurant carriage and a third class car for the service. The Lapland Express departed at four in the afternoon from the Central Station. 48 hours later the train arrived in Narvik
