On the blackboard behind her, information about wartime cookery is displayed, including a suggested breakfast of scrambled eggs and a dinner of mutton and kidney pie. The blackboard also highlights the fact that there are ante-natal clinics at West Green Road, Lordship Lane and Park Lane.

A Village Saves- National Savings in Lewknor, Oxfordshire, England, 1941 Mrs Scott, school mistress at Lewknor village school, talks to her pupils about National Savings. According to the original caption, it is Friday, which is Savings Day at the school. This week the total amount saved is GBP2 5s 6d. The classroom is quite large with several rows of desks and a large blackboard, with the words 'Friday: Poster and Savings Day'. Note the latticework of tape criss-crossing the windows as a precaution against blast.

Flying 'Sky Pilots" -- The moody Bible institute in Chicago has started a class in Aviation for Missionaries and student Missionaries. In many parts of the globe, remote sections are inaccessible except by air. The institute's courses includes 198 hours of ground instruction and 50 additional hours in the air. Here, Dr. C.
