140-Tons sway on Steel Ball New TV Station Has Tallest Mast -- Pictured to-day (Tuesday) is the ball-and-socket base of the 750-feet high mast - the B.B.C.'s tallest - of the world's most powerful television transmitter.The transmitter is the new B.B.C. television station at Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, which was shown to the press to-day and begins on Saturday, December 17, to transmit programmes relayed from London to 6,000,000 potential new viewers.
