The Ministers Alberda, Michiels van Verduynen and Kerstens in conversation., 1943 - 1945 photograph Minister Johan Willem Alberda (1877-1957, center) in conversation with Mr. E.F.M.J. Baron Michiels van Verduynen, minister without a portfolio. Verduynen could replace the Minister of Foreign Affairs if he stayed abroad. Alberda became one of the first SDAP ministers in 1939. De Fries became Minister of Water Management in the De Geer II cabinet. Shortly thereafter the Germans occupied the Netherlands and Fleerda fled to England with the Dutch government. During the war, Alberda took part in the London cabinets led by Pieter Gerbrandy. On the left in the photo is Minister Kerstens. The line network was installed by artist Cor Visser. To Take New Mace To Australia -- A new speaker's mace is to be presented to the Australian Federal House of Representatives as a gift from the British House of Commons. A conservative a labour and a liberal member of Parliament will leave London on November 12 to present the mace in Australia.The three members are seen today, November 8, at the Commonwealth Relations office in London. Eva Braun's Photo Albums, ca. 1913 - ca. 1944. These albums are attributed to Eva Braun (four are claimed by her friend Herta Schneider, nee Ostermeyer) and document her life from ca. 1913 to 1944. There are many photographs of Eva, her sisters and their children, Herta Schneider and her children, as well as photographs of Eva's vacations, family members and friends. Included also are photographs taken by and of Eva Braun at Hitler's chalet Berghof (or Kehlstein), photographs of Hitler and his entourage, visitors to Berghof and the scenery around Berchtesgaden, and some studio portraits of Eva and members of her family.
