Inclosed herewith is a page from "Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion" relative to the lighthouse which existed at Choctaw Point, Mobile, Alabama. It will be noted that no date is printed on the inclosure. Captain Eaton, who sent me the page from the magazine, states, in reply to a letter, that the magazine was issued about October 10, 1857.
