Mr. George Dawson (right) climbs abroad the Icelandic trawler.Cockney financier George Dawson made it clear last night that the Icelandic fish he hopes to sell to merchants today will not necessarily be cheaper than any other fish that reaches the fishmongers slabs. "But it will be better value for money, " he declared at a party in Grimsby to celebrate the arrival of the first Icelandic trawler for eleven months. As champagne corks popped, Mr. Dawson went on: "I am told that fish caught off Iceland usually commands a slightly higher price because of its better quality." Mr. Dawson is trying to break the ban on Iceland fish, imposed by British merchants when the Icelandic Government put certain fishing grounds out of bounds to foreign trawlers.
