Hornet, Gosport, this evening (Wednesday).The biggest cruise programme in the history of the Royal Navy's Coastal Forces starts to-night when a division of the second Flotilla of Motor Torpedo Boats, sweeps out in line ahead from its Gosport base, H.M.S. Hornet. The little ships, which will travel farther from their bases than they have been since the end of hostilities, will visit the ports of Flushing, Amsterdam, Wilhelshaven, Kiel and Stockholm. June 23, 1948.
