The appealed profession is also always mentioned on the glass. On the far left: 'Tijkenen', a draftsman sat behind a table by the window. To the right: 'Smit', an elongated object forging on an anvil next to a fire. In the middle: 'Ketel Boeter', sitting by the window, hits a kettle with a hammer. On the right there: 'Gout Smit', who clamped in the fire with a clamp. On the far right: 'Shoe maker', with the shoe he makes on his lap. Images seem to partly go back to the prints the Menselyk Bedryf of Jan and Caspar Luyken, but are not immediately copied or pulled over.
