Entrance to the Port of Boulogne 1855 Edouard Baldus French, born Prussia Boulogne-sur-Mer, the terminus of the railroad line from Paris, was the gateway for trade and travel between Victorian England and Second Empire France. It was also the arrival point for Queen Victoria's state visit in 1855, and this exceptionally rich, subtle print comes from an album commissioned by Baron James de Rothschild, owner of the line, for presentation to the imperial court on that occasion. Baldus's photograph, showing the elegantly engineered jetties that guided vessels from the English Channel past the scruffy shoreline and into the protected harbor alongside the Boulogne station, masterfully renders the soft light and atmosphere pursued by Impressionist painters a decade later.. VGJ, Västergötland-Gothenburg railways. The narrow track's barge position at GBÖ II.SJ G. During the SJ era was the designation Gothenburg Östra, GBÖ, which was administratively part of Gothenburg north. Gothenburg Östra included both normal tracks and narrow tracks closest to the Göta River on both sides of Säveåns/Gullbergsån's outlet. The part west of the said outlet was designated GBÖ in and included, among other things, Gullbergskajen and Pråm location. The part of the outlet was designated GBÖ II and included, among other things, the former VGJ Ranger station, the slaughterhouse tracks and various other port and industrial tracks.

The harbor track at Northern Hammarbyhamnen in the direction of Masthamnen, on the route between Stockholm Södra and Northern Hammarbyhamnen.

Long Bien Bridge was built in 1903 by the architects of Dayde & Pille, a French company. It is a historic cantilever bridge that spans the Red River, some 2.5 km in length. From 1899 to 1902, more than 3,000 Vietnamese took part in the construction. Before Vietnam's independence in 1954, it was called the Doumer Bridge after Paul Doumer, the Governor-General of French Indochina and then French president. Defence of the bridge played a major role in the Vietnam War against the United States, as the bridge provided the only secure connection to the port of Haiphong. It was heavily bombarded and was rendered unusable for a year when, in May 1972, it fell victim to one of the first coordinated attacks using laser-guided 'smart bombs'. The defense of Long Bien Bridge continues to play a large role in Hanoi's self-image and is often extolled in poetry and song.
