Water-jet Boat Tested on the Thames -- Mr. R.M. Parkinson with his water-jet engine. A boat propelled by a water-jet was tested on the river Thames at Kew, London. The boat, which has the engine unit fitted outboard, is the invention of a former Rolls-Royce engineer, Mr. R.M. Parkinson. It is expected to sell on the home market for £42. Plans are being made for a big export trade. June 17, 1946.
