Anatomy of the prostate. Located at the neck of the bladder, the prostate surrounds the urethra. It produces secretions, contributing to the formation of sperm, which are expelled by the urethra. A dead-end canal, the prostatic utricle, sinks into the thickness of the prostate, it is a vestige of the Mller ducts, embryonic ducts at the origin of part of the female genital organs and regressing in men. The region of the prostatic urethra in which the ejaculatory ducts and the prostatic utricle open is called the seminal colliculus. The seminal vesicles participate in the formation of sperm, their secretion is discharged into the urethra via the ejaculatory duct. The Cowper glands (or bulbourethral,) are located in the thickness of the urogenital diaphragm.

Secretion and mode of action of insulin in a non-diabetic person. Ingestion of a sugary food causes an increase in blood sugar. This causes the secretion of insulin by the pancreas, which is sent to the various organs of the body to stimulate the use of glucose, mainly to the muscles and liver.
