A contract has been let for the erection of engine overhaul shop at Mascot aerodrome for the purpose of overhauling Pegasus XC engines as fitted to the Empire Flying Boats. The architects responsible for the design are Messrs. Rudder & Grout, and work will commence at the site early next week.It is expected the building will be erected and production have commenced in three months. When the full production of from 3 to 4 engines per week is attained about 65 persons will be employed at the new works. June 16, 1939.
