Laura Orr, Director of Education at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, presents a history program pertaining to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor which occurred on December 7, 1941 to an audience at the Bateman Library aboard Joint Base Langley-Eustis on Thursday, December 8, 2022. The presentation was part of the librarys Lunch and Learn series, which is a program of the Langley Air Force Base Library and Joint Base Langley Force Support. The presentation is part of the Hampton Roads Naval Museums military outreach program. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is one of the museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command, and is located in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The museum is free to visit.

Fort McCoy Garrison Commander Col. Stephen Messenger gives a presentation during the 2024 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance on Jan. 16, 2024, in McCoys Community Center at Fort McCoy, Wis. The 2024 observance at Fort McCoy featured opening comments by Master Sgt. Ana Guzman with the Fort McCoy Equal Opportunity Office who organized the event. It also included an opening prayer by Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Amy Noble with the Fort McCoy Religious Support Office, and Messenger spoke about the legacy of MLK Jr. The 2024 theme for the observance was Remember! Celebrate! Act! A Day On, Not A Day Off! CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - At NASA's Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida, Director Bob Cabana welcomes the sixth-grade students attending Brevard Space Week 2009 to the center.Space Week events are designed to introduce the students to space exploration activities at Kennedy and include opportunities for the students to hear an astronaut describe spaceflight and to take part in a variety of hands-on activities. Since 2004, over 25,000 sixth-grade students have participated in this innovative program with 5,200 more expected to participate this year. Space Week events are sponsored by NASA Education, the Brevard Schools Foundation, Delaware North Parks and Resorts, and the Florida Chapter of the National Space Club.
