JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (July 8, 2022) Capt. Mohd Amir Ashraff bin Azmi, the religious officer aboard Royal Malaysian Navy corvette KD Lekir (F-26),briefs participants of the International Chaplain Symposium about the Malaysian Armed Forces Religious Corps and activities involving spirituality in the Malaysian Armed Forces. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. The third Security Implications of Climate Change (SICC III) symposium was held from 26-28 June, 2023 in Gaborone, Botswana. The symposium, sponsored by U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), the Botswana Defence Force (BDF), and the U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP), brought together leaders and representatives from over 36 countries to convene and discuss collaborative efforts to address climate-related challenges across the African continent.
