From November 20th to 24th, 16 members of the Kuwait Marine Fire & Rescue unit trained with US Army medical personnel of Area Support Group - Kuwait on Combat Life Saver skills and best practices in emergency paramedic procedures. Fire & Rescue completed their workshop with drills on shore and in the Arabian Gulf on November 24th, 2022.

The National Guard has helped the Federal Emergency Management Agency to quickly respond to a wide range of needs in support of relief efforts from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. The West Virginia National Guard has more than 550 members aiding in recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy. The storm blanketed the state with heavy snow and rains and also had severe winds that left homes and properties damaged. Guardsmen are involved in numerous aspects of the operations from search and rescue missions to debris removal.

Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 14 teamed up with NASKW Public Works and NASKW Air Operations Department to complete the needed airfield damage repair. Seabees assigned to NMCB-14 travelled to NASKW to perform on-site training and assist with facility and compound maintenance. NMCB-14 provides advance base construction, battle damage repair, contingency engineering, humanitarian assistance and disaster recovery support to our fleet and unified commanders.
