Twenty-two two-Soldier teams from all around the world traveled to Fort Hood, Texas to compete in the finals to be named the Armys Best Medic. The competition is a 72-hour arduous test of the teams physical and mental skills. Competitors must be agile, adaptive leaders who demonstrate mature judgment while testing collective team skills in areas of physical fitness, tactical marksmanship, leadership, warrior skills, land navigation and overall knowledge of medical, technical and tactical proficiencies through a series of hands-on tasks in a simulated operational environment. Today the 10th Mountain Division honored the Soldiers from Task Force 2-14 by participating in the Mogadishu Mile. The original mile was a route taken by Soldiers from a Blackhawk helicopter crash site to a rally point held by the 10th MTN DIV on National Street during the Battle of Mogadishu on October 4, 1993.

U.S. Marines with 8th Communication Battalion, II MEF Information Group, conduct a five mile conditioning hike aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 10, 2022. The hike was conducted in order to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday while building combat readiness, unit cohesion, and esprit de corps. During the hike, 8th Communication Battalion held a competition by seeing which company could carry and deliver the most amount of canned goods to the hike finish line. The canned goods were donated to local food banks to show partnership with the community outside of Camp Lejeune.

U.S. service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa receive their French Desert Commando Course (FDCC) pin at Centre Dentrainment Au Combat (CECAD), Djibouti, Sept. 22, 2022, during the conclusion of the FDCC.
