More than 300 Troopers assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat Team deployed Jul. 17 from Fort Hood. On May 13, the Secretary of Defense ordered the deployment of the brigade to U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command area of operations to assure NATO allies, deter Russian aggression and to be prepared to support a range of other requirements in the region. GREYWOLF will replace 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division in Grafenwöhr, Germany.

The Airborne Ops/Lift/Jump were held here on the newly built Fort Dix Ramp which was just Dedicated on 19 August and was the first mission to be held at this location on Fort Dix. The 404th CA Advon arrived at TAC-1A for rehearsals prior to the actual loading and jump. After rehearsals the units were transferred to the Fort Dix Army Ramp where parachutes were distributed on the parking area inside of the fence of the Army Ramp. The troops arrived on or about 1230L and were ushered over to the staging area falling-in on their assigned chalks. Two CU-47's (5/519 Regt, Fort Eustis VA) had arrived at 1300L. While the CU-47s were refueling, the Jump Master and unit leaders conducted a mission brief in Bldg 4421. At the conclusion of the brief a mission walk through took place. A Final inspection of the troops was conducted at the aircraft. These Airborne Ops soldiers were lifted to the jump area located at Coyle Field, NJ. The 387th Military Police company conducted a color casing ceremony at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, Oct. 15, 2022. The 387th Military Police company has a rich history for its short span. It was first federally recognized on Nov. 6, 2006 in New Albany. The unit then deployed in 2009 with the 384th Military Police Combat support company to Mosul, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, the 387th Military Police Company responded to an earthquake in Haiti and again deployed two years later with the 381st Military Police Support Company in Afghanistan under Task Force Guardian in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2015, the unit was transferred to Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center. Then, in 2017 the unit mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
