Inter-American Defense College Leadership welcomes Brazilian General Sergio Negraes, Brazilian Armys Secretary of Finance and Economics to the IADC campus at Ft. Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C., Aug. 11, 2022. During the visit General Novaes spoke to students and was inducted into the IADC Hall of Honor. Additionally, he participated in an office call with leadership, received a college briefing and took a tour of the campus.

PHILADELPHIA (January 3, 2024) Materials engineers assigned to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division conduct a Petrofluids & Material Performance Branch (C/331) Lab familiarization tour on Jan. 3, 2024 as part of the commands monthly Research & Development (R&D) Showcase series. NSWCPD employs approximately 2,800 civilian engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel. The NSWCPD team does the research and development, test and evaluation, acquisition support, and in-service and logistics engineering for the non-nuclear machinery, ship machinery systems, and related equipment and material for Navy surface ships and submarines. NSWCPD is also the lead organization providing cybersecurity for all ship systems.

Stephen Sullivan, the Chief Financial Officer and Director for Resources, Installations, and Materiel for the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve, participates in a tour of facilities April 25, 2022, at Fort McCoy, Wis., as part of an official visit with Fort McCoy Garrison officials. And Sullivan received an aerial tour aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk that showed him the entire installation from north to south and in between.

Service members participate in the 2022 Fort McCoy Military Appreciation Lunch on May 12, 2022, at McCoy's Community Center at Fort McCoy, Wis. Dozens of service members and military retirees participated in the event. The event was organized by the Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and was part of the installation observance of May as Military Appreciation Month.

Soldiers assigned to the Soldier Recovery Unit on Fort Campbell, Kentucky, had the opportunity to receive Equine Therapy through a partnership with Hope & Healing at Hillenglade and their founder Jenn ONeill.This partnership has been ongoing every three months for the past 5 years (with a temporary break during the peak of COVID) where a group of up to six Soldiers get to visit the Hillenglade horse farm for three days. During their visit they learn about the horses; how to care for them; and how to interact, react, connect, and build trust between themselves and the animal.

The atoll of Tarawa was involved in fierce fighting during World War II. Currently, DPAA and partner organizations are working to recover and repatriate the remains of American, Japanese, and Korean service members killed in action.

On June 20, 2022, Khan Quest 2022 ended with the official closing ceremony. Over the past two weeks Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) hosted 15 nations in this 18th iteration of the exercise. By participating in Khaan Quest, nations were able to showcase their resolve in peacekeeping missions around the world.Soldiers, Spc. Hunter Mains and Spc. Zach Smyers, a Museum Educator at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, provides some meaningful interpretation during a guided tour of the museums gallery. The museum is one of ten U.S. Navy museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command. The museum is located on the second floor of the Nauticus building in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

The Park protects and interprets the landscape of the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. There are 43,000 American Civil War artifacts that are displayed in the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. Visit of Secretary Dirk Kempthorne to Vicksburg National Military Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi, for touring, participation in events highlighting the restoration project--funded jointly by the National Park Service and the Friends of the Vicksburg National Military Park and Campaign, as part of the National Park Centennial Initiative--aimed at replacing interpretive battlefield markers and conserving the array of bronze statuary and stone monuments at the Civil War site. Pennsylvania Air National Guardsmen and retired members of the unit gather at the 171st Air Refueling Wing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Pittsburgh based Air National Guard unit on June 11, 2023. Virgil Greene, who served aboard USS Newport News (CA 148) as a Second Class Boiler Technician, provides some insights regarding his service during a visit to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. Greene served aboard Newport News from 1969-1973 during the Vietnam War, and is pictured with a large model of the cruiser. The large ship model is on display at the museum as part of their exhibit The Ten Thousand-Day War at Sea: The U.S. Navy in Vietnam, 1950-1975.
