War Criminals Trial Naples -- S.S. Women witnesses, Mariana Schaffersger, Christa Roy. The War Crimes trial began 9 January 1946 at the Palace of Justice, Naples. Standing trial are four Germans - three S.S. men, Major August Schiffer, Lieutenant Heinrich Andergassen, Unteroffizier Albert Storz and Hans Butz a member of the German Civil Police Force. They are accused of summarily shooting seven Allied soldiers, five Americans and two British, who were captured near Bolsano, Italy during February and March 1945. Four of the Americans were airmen whose bomber was shot down near Bolsano in February, the other man was an officer who was captured in March. April 05, 1948. (Photo by British Official Photo).

Thousands of A.T.S. girls are now in training to serve with the Invasion Troops. Durant, in connection with the theft of $1,500,000 in jewels and other treasure from Kronberg castle, Germany.
