British Submarines For Norway -- A general view (left) the three submarines lying alongside the Depot ship "Forth" in the estuary of the River Clyde yesterday.Three submarines of the Royal Navy were handed over to the Royal Norwegian Navy at Rethesay, Bute, Firth of Clyde, yesterday, Thursday. They were the Venturer, Votary and Viking, now renamed Utstein, Uthaug and Utvaer. The submarines, which served in Norwegian waters during the war, were received by Commodore J.E. Jakobsen from Rear Admiral G.E. Creasy, Flag Officer (Submarines) at the Admiralty. September 6, 1946.

The British Reoccupation of Hong Kong The first batch of Japanese naval prisoners of war board the SS FORT BUFFALO which will carry them home to Japan.
