Detachment 101, an enigmatic Allied intelligence and special operations unit during World War II, played a pivotal role in the Burmese theater. Operating deep in the jungles of Burma, their mission was multi-faceted, encompassing guerrilla warfare, espionage, and sabotage against Japanese forces. Comprising a diverse group of individuals, from OSS agents to indigenous fighters, they effectively disrupted Japanese supply lines, gathered critical intelligence, and supported resistance movements.

One of the largest hydro-electric systems in the world, the Mondalan power station in Japanese-occupied Java was devastated b3r R.A.A.F. Liberators recently. It was wrecked to thoroughly that it is anticipated that the Japs will be unable to effect repairs. This photograph, taken from 700 ft., shows the power station five minutes before the first bombs were dropped.Damage inflicted in a former raid can be seen in the top right-hand corner of the double-roofed building in the foreground and in the adjacent transformer installations. It was the longest R.A.A.F. heavy bomber raid in S.W. Pacific. February 26, 1944. (Photo by Department of Air).

Included also are photographs taken by and of Eva Braun at Hitler's chalet Berghof (or Kehlstein), photographs of Hitler and his entourage, visitors to Berghof and the scenery around Berchtesgaden, and some studio portraits of Eva and members of her family.
