Canada's Food Chief - In London today (Sunday) before he left for the Food and Agriculture conference in Geneva is Mr. James Gardiner, Canadian Minister of Agriculture. He was visited at his hotel by British Food Minister John Strachey Shortly after his arrival from Canada and will return to Britain in 10 day's time, when further talks are expected. His presence in London lends colour to reports of a Commonwealth drive to aid Britain, and Mr. Gardiner has stated that Canadian food contracts to Britain will be honoured in spite of Canada's own problem of a drought impaired harvest and the high prices offered by the United States.
