He represented the South Coast in junior games, and when still at school was called up to play for Woonona reserves. Officials soon discovered he was too classy for reserve grade, and on his 15th birthday he played his first major game. April 30, 1947.

12/31/1929. Serafin Aedo. Basque defender (born in Baracaldo on October 12, 1909) who played for Betis in the 1930s. He was part of the team that won the League in 1934-35 with the green and white team. International with Spain, he was part of the Basque team that the Republic sent in 1937 to several countries. In Latin America he played for several teams, including the Argentine River Plate. He retired in 1949. (Photo Álvaro).
