ISS004-E-13246 (7 June 2002) --- The Space Shuttle Endeavour approaches the International Space Station (ISS) in this digital still camera's view, recorded on June 7, 2002. The Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM), known as Leonardo, can be seen in Endeavour's payload bay. Two Russian cosmonauts and an American astronaut, currently onboard the shuttle, will replace two American astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut now on the station.

Docking occurred at 10:49 p.m. (CDT) on March 12, 2008. The Canadian-built Dextre robotic system and the logistics module for the Japanese Kibo laboratory are visible in Endeavour's cargo bay.

ISS014-E-19073 (9 April 2007) --- Backdropped by a cloud-covered Earth, the Soyuz 14 (TMA-10) spacecraft approaches the International Space Station. Onboard the spacecraft are cosmonauts Fyodor N. Yurchikhin, Expedition 15 commander; and Oleg V. Kotov, Soyuz commander and flight engineer, both representing Russia's Federal Space Agency; along with spaceflight participant Charles Simonyi. With Kotov at the controls, the Soyuz linked up to the Zarya module nadir port at 2:10 p.m. (CDT) on April 9, 2007. The docking followed Saturday's launch from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

ISS023-E-041435 (16 May 2010) --- This close-up view of the nose of space shuttle Atlantis was provided by an Expedition 23 crew member during a survey of the approaching STS-132 vehicle prior to docking with the International Space Station. As part of the survey and part of every mission's activities, Atlantis performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM). The station crew member used a digital still camera with an 800mm focal length, as the two spacecraft were approximately 600 feet (180 meters) apart.

ISS026-E-032273 (7 March 2011) --- The space shuttle Discovery is seen from the International Space Station as the two orbital spacecraft accomplish their relative separation on March 7 after an aggregate of 12 astronauts and cosmonauts worked together for over a week. During a post undocking fly-around, the crew members aboard the two spacecraft collected a series of photos of each others vehicle.

ISS013-E-10106 (26 April 2006) --- Backdropped by a blue and white Earth, an unpiloted Progress supply vehicle approaches the International Space Station. The Progress 21 resupply craft launched at 11:03 a.m. (CDT) on April 24, 2006 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to deliver 2.5 tons of food, water, fuel, oxygen, spare parts and other supplies to the Expedition 13 crewmembers onboard the station. Progress docked to the aft port of the Zvezda Service Module at 12:41 p.m. (CDT) on April 26 as the spacecraft and the station flew approximately 219 miles above a point near Greece.

ISS028-E-015561(10 July 2011) --- A nadir view of the space shuttle Atlantis and its payload was provided by one of a series of images showing various parts of the shuttle in Earth orbit. Seen at the rear of the cargo bay is the Raffaello multi-purpose logistics module, packed with supplies and spare parts for the International Space Station. The series was photographed by one of three crewmembers -- half the station crew -- who were equipped with still cameras on the orbiting outpost as the shuttle posed” for photos and visual surveys and performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM). A 400 millimeter lens was used to capture this particular series of images.

ISS015-E-20209 (5 Aug. 2007) --- An unpiloted Progress supply vehicle approaches the International Space Station. The Progress 26 resupply craft launched at 12:34 p.m. (CDT) on Aug. 2, 2007 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Progress automatically docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment Sunday at 1:40 p.m. (CDT) on Aug. 5 delivering more than 2.5 tons of food, fuel, oxygen and other supplies to the Expedition 15 crewmembers onboard the station.

ISS016-E-006331 (25 Oct. 2007) --- Backdropped by a blue and white Earth, Space Shuttle Discovery approaches the International Space Station during STS-120 rendezvous and docking operations. Docking occurred at 7:40 a.m. (CDT) on Oct. 25, 2007. The Harmony node is visible in Discovery's cargo bay.

ISS020-E-021315 (17 July 2009) --- This view of the Space Shuttle Endeavour was provided by an Expedition 20 crewmember during a survey of the approaching vehicle prior to docking with the International Space Station. As part of the survey and part of every mission's activities, the STS-127 Endeavour crew performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM).

ISS020-E-035429 (30 Aug. 2009) --- This is one of a series of 800mm survey digital still photographs of the Space Shuttle Discovery as it performed a full 360-degree backflip. The series of photos were made by the Expedition 20 crew onboard the International Space Station as the two spacecraft drew near to each other on STS-128s third flight day.

ISS011-E-11048 (28 July 2005) --- The crew cabin of the Space Shuttle Discovery was photographed by the crewmembers of the International Space Station as the two spacecraft approached each other for docking on July 28, 2005. The Expedition 12 crewmembers onboard the orbital outpost took a battery of survey photographs of the Shuttle thermal protection system.

ISS018-E-040794 (17 March 2009) --- An overhead close-up view of the exterior of Space Shuttle Discovery's crew cabin, part of its payload bay and docking system was provided by Expedition 18 crewmembers on the International Space Station. Before docking with the station, astronaut Lee Archambault, STS-119 commander, flew the shuttle through a Rendezvous Pitch Maneuver or basically a backflip to allow the space station crew a good view of Discovery's heat shield. Using digital still cameras equipped with both 400 and 800 millimeter lenses, the ISS crewmembers took a number of photos of the shuttle's thermal protection system and sent them down to teams on the ground for analysis. A 400 millimeter lens was used for this image.

ISS003-E-8326 (7 Dec 2001) --- The Space Shuttle Endeavour, controlled by the flight crew of STS-108, is backdropped over a large area of cloudcover on Earth as it nears its rendezvous with the International Space Station (ISS). The Raffaello logistics module that is being brought up to the orbiting outpost is clearly visible in Endeavour's cargo bay. Among other activities the Endeavour's mission will include the change out of the station crews. The image was recorded with a digital still camera.

The Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM), known as Leonardo, is visible in Endeavour's payload bay. ISS014-E-06544 (26 Oct. 2006) --- Backdropped by a blue and white Earth, an unpiloted Progress supply vehicle approaches the International Space Station. Progress docked to the aft port of the Zvezda Service Module at 9:29 a.m. (CDT) on Oct. 26. The spacecraft used the automated Kurs system to dock at the aft port of the Zvezda service module. Expedition 14 flight engineer Mikhail Tyurin stood by at the manual Toru docking system controls, but the automated system functioned as designed and manual intervention was not needed.

ISS002-E-9635 (21 July 2001) --- View of the Space Shuttle Atlantis after it undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) during the STS-104 mission. The STS-104 crew delivered the Quest Airlock to the ISS during the twelve day mission. This image was recorded by an Expedition Two crew member with a digital still camera.

ISS010-E-18836 (27 February 2005) --- Backdropped by scattered clouds above Earth, an unpiloted Progress 16 supply vehicle departs from the International Space Station (ISS) at 10:06 a.m. (CST) February 27, 2005, carrying its load of trash and unneeded equipment to be deorbited and burned up in Earths atmosphere. The undocking clears the way for the arrival of a new Progress 17, planned to launch February 28 and dock with the Station on March 2.

ISS023-E-051233 (23 May 2010) --- Space shuttle Atlantis is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 23 crew member on the International Space Station soon after the shuttle and station began their post-undocking relative separation. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 10:22 a.m. (CDT) on May 23, 2010, ending a seven-day stay that saw the addition of a new station module, replacement of batteries and resupply of the orbiting outpost.

Docking occurred at 3:59 p.m. (CST) on November 25, 2002. ISS030-E-175090 (28 March 2012) --- European Space Agencys Edoardo Amaldi Automated Transfer Vehicle-3 (ATV-3) approaches the International Space Station. The unmanned cargo spacecraft docked to the space station at 6:31 p.m. (EDT) on March 28, 2012, delivering 220 pounds of oxygen, 628 pounds of water, 4.5 tons of propellant, and nearly 2.5 tons of dry cargo, including experiment hardware, spare parts, food and clothing.

The SpaceX Dragon Endurance crew ship, carrying four Crew-3 astronauts back to Earth, is pictured from a window on the International Space Station following its undocking from the Harmony module's foward port. Crew-3 Commander Raja Chari led Pilot Tom Marshburn and Mission Specialists Kayla Barron and Matthias Maurer inside Endurance as they reentered Earth's atmosphere and parachuted to a splashdown off the coast of Tampa, Florida, the next day.

ISS026-E-006049 (25 Nov. 2010) --- The Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft departs the International Space Station on Nov. 25, 2010. Onboard are three members of Expedition 25 - NASA astronaut Doug Wheelock, commander; along with NASA astronaut Shannon Walker and Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, both flight engineers. Yurchikhin, the Soyuz commander, was at the controls of the spacecraft as it undocked at 8:23 p.m. (EST) from the station's Rassvet module.

ISS003-E-5677 (16 September 2001) --- The Russian Docking Compartment, named Pirs, the Russian word for pier, approaches the International Space Station (ISS). One of the Expedition Three crew members, using a digital still camera with a 180mm lens, recorded the image from onboard the orbital outpost. The vehicle was launched on September 14, 2001 and docking occurred on September 16.

ISS034-E-059723 (3 March 2013) --- This is one of a series of photos taken by the Expedition 34 crew members aboard the International Space Station during the March 3 approach, capture and docking of the SpaceX Dragon. Thus the spacecraft begins its scheduled three-week-long stay at the orbiting space station.

ISS023-E-021465 (10 April 2010) --- The aft section of the docked space shuttle Discovery and the stations robotic Canadarm2 are featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 23 crew member on the International Space Station. The northwestern coast of Australia and the Indian Ocean, roughly from Carnarvon on the left to Broom (just before the clouds) on the right with the arc of Eighty Mile Beach obscured by the tail of Discovery are seen approximately 215 miles below.

S126-E-012093 (27 Nov. 2008) --- Backdropped against a massive cloud cover, the aft portion of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, with the multi-purpose logistics module Leonardo in stow mode, was captured in a series of photographs by one of the STS-126 crewmembers on Nov. 27, Thanksgiving day, also the eve of departure from the International Space Station on Nov. 28.

Progress 32 docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment at 1:18 a.m. (CST) on Feb. 13, 2009, after a three day flight from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

ISS027-E-034494 (19 May 2011) --- Backdropped against a scene showing Earth's horizon and the blackness of space, this image featuring the aft part of the space shuttle Endeavour was photographed by an Expedition 27 crew member aboard the International Space Station while the two spacecraft were docked. Twelve astronauts and cosmonauts were busy aboard the joint complex, moving hardware and preparing for a May 20 space walk.

ISS022-E-068832 (9 Feb. 2010) --- This view of the space shuttle Endeavour, taken on Feb. 9 from the International Space Station as the two spacecraft conducted their rendezvous operations, was downlinked by the Expedition 22 crew on Feb. 19. The Tranquility node and the Cupola can be clearly seen in the shuttle's payload bay.

ISS020-E-035502 (30 Aug. 2009) --- This is one of a series of 800mm survey digital still photographs of the Space Shuttle Discovery as it performed a full 360-degree backflip. The series of photos were made by the Expedition 20 crew onboard the International Space Station as the two spacecraft drew near to each other on STS-128s third flight day. This view shows the shuttles three main engines.

This nadir view of the STS-117 mission Space Shuttle Atlantis, taken by the Expedition 15 crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS), occurred just before the two spacecraft linked up in Earth orbit. Berthed in the cargo bay are the 17.8 ton second and third (S3 and S4) truss segments ready for installment. STS-117 mission objectives included the addition of S3 and S4 with Photovoltaic Radiator (PVR), the deployment of the third set of solar arrays, and the retraction of the P4 starboard solar array wing and one radiator.

ISS020-E-021529 (17 July 2009) --- This view of the crew cabin and part of the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle Endeavour was provided by an Expedition 20 crewmember during a survey of the approaching vehicle prior to docking with the International Space Station. As part of the survey and part of every mission's activities, Endeavour performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM). The image was photographed with a digital still camera, using a 400mm lens at a distance of about 600 feet (180 meters).

ISS019-E-015780 (12 May 2009) --- An unpiloted Progress supply vehicle approaches the International Space Station, bringing more than 2 tons of food, fuel and other supplies to the Expedition 19 crewmembers aboard the station. Progress 33 docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment at 2:24 p.m. (CDT) on May 12, 2009, after a three-day flight from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

ISS018-E-040790 (17 March 2009) --- Backdropped by the blackness of space, Space Shuttle Discovery is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 18 crewmember on the International Space Station during rendezvous and docking operations. Before docking with the station, astronaut Lee Archambault, STS-119 commander, flew the shuttle through a Rendezvous Pitch Maneuver or basically a backflip to allow the space station crew a good view of Discovery's heat shield. Using digital still cameras equipped with both 400 and 800 millimeter lenses, the ISS crewmembers took a number of photos of the shuttle's thermal protection system and sent them down to teams on the ground for analysis. A 400 millimeter lens was used for this image. Docking occurred at 4:20 p.m. (CDT) on March 17, 2009. The final pair of power-generating solar array wings and the S6 truss segment are visible in Discoverys cargo bay.

ISS011-E-11023 (28 July 2005) --- View of the Space Shuttle Discovery's crew cabin and the Orbiter Docking System (ODS), photographed as part of the survey sequence performed by the Expedition 11 crew during the STS-114 R-Bar Pitch Maneuver on Flight Day 3. This picture was used by Steve M. Poulos, Jr. Manager, Space Shuttle Vehicle Engineering Office, as one of his visual aids in a July 28, 2005 press conference in the Teague Auditorium at the Johnson Space Center. Poulos pointed out a raised area of thermal blanket material just below a window on the commander's (port) side of the cabin.

The SpaceX Dragon Endeavour crew ship carrying four Axiom Mission 1 astronauts approaches the International Space Station less than a day after launching from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Both spacecraft were orbiting 257 miles above the Atlantic Ocean northwest of the island country of The Republic of Cabo Verde, which is off the coast of Dakar, Senegal, in Africa.

ISS026-E-032267 (7 March 2011) --- The space shuttle Discovery is seen from the International Space Station as the two orbital spacecraft accomplish their relative separation on March 7 after an aggregate of 12 astronauts and cosmonauts worked together for over a week. During a post undocking fly-around, the crew members aboard the two spacecraft collected a series of photos of each others vehicle.

ISS021-E-017623 (30 Oct. 2009) --- Backdropped by a cloud-covered part of Earth, the unpiloted Japanese H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV), filled with trash and unneeded items, departs from the International Space Station. European Space Agency astronaut Frank De Winne, Expedition 21 commander; NASA astronaut Nicole Stott and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Robert Thirsk, both flight engineers, used the stations Canadarm2 robotic arm to grab the HTV cargo craft and unberth it from the Harmony nodes nadir port. The HTV was successfully unberthed at 10:18 a.m. (CDT) on Oct. 30, 2009, and released from the stations Canadarm2 at 12:32 p.m.

S123-E-009210 (24 March 2008) --- Backdropped by Earth's horizon and the blackness of space, the International Space Station appears very small from the point of view of the Space Shuttle Endeavour as the two spacecraft carry out their relative separation. Endeavour's vertical stabilizer, orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pods and payload bay are seen in this image photographed by an STS-123 crewmember onboard the shuttle. Earlier the STS-123 and Expedition 16 crews concluded 12 days of cooperative work onboard the shuttle and station. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 7:25 p.m. (CDT) on March 24, 2008.

S121-E-07894 (15 July 2006) --- Backdropped by a blue and white Earth, the International Space Station moves away from Space Shuttle Discovery. Earlier the STS-121 and Expedition 13 crews concluded almost nine days of cooperative work onboard the shuttle and station. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 5:08 a.m. (CDT) on July 15, 2006.

ISS023-E-051329 (23 May 2010) --- Space shuttle Atlantis is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 23 crew member on the International Space Station soon after the shuttle and station began their post-undocking relative separation. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 10:22 a.m. (CDT) on May 23, 2010, ending a seven-day stay that saw the addition of a new station module, replacement of batteries and resupply of the orbiting outpost. A portion of a Russian spacecraft docked to the station is at top.

S123-E-005072 (11 Mar. 2008) --- This view out the aft starboard window on Endeavour's flight deck was one of a series of images recorded by the STS-123 crewmembers during their first full day in space. A small section of the logistics module for the Japanese Kibo laboratory, awaiting its addition to the growing International Space Station, is visible at bottom edge of the frame.

iss070e023587 (Nov. 11, 2023) --- The SpaceX Dragon cargo craft, on the company's 29th commercial resupply mission for NASA, approaches the International Space Station while orbiting 261 miles above the Lesser Sunda Islands.

ISS018-E-043877 (25 March 2009) --- Backdropped by a colorful Earth, Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-119) is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 18 crew member on the International Space Station soon after the shuttle and station began their post-undocking relative separation on March 25, 2009. A portion of a Russian spacecraft docked to the station is at left.

ISS007-E-13814 (30 August 2003) --- Backdropped by a blue and white Earth, an unpiloted Progress supply vehicle approaches the International Space Station (ISS). The Progress 12 resupply craft, which launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 8:48 p.m. (CDT) on August 28, 2003, carried nearly three tons of food, fuel, water, supplies and scientific gear for the Expedition 7 crew aboard the Station. The Progress linked up with the Station at 10:40 p.m. (CDT) on August 30, 2003 as the two spacecraft were flying over Central Asia at an altitude of 240 statute miles.

Aboard Discovery are the members of the Expedition Three crew - Frank L. Culbertson, Jr., mission commander, and cosmonauts Vladimir N. Dezhurov and Mikhail Tyurin, flight engineers - who will be replacing the Expedition Two crew that has been living on the ISS for the past five months. September 17, 2006 - The Space Shuttle Atlantis, backdropped over a colorful Earth, is pictured after it undocked from the International Space Station at 7:50 a.m. (CDT). The STS-115 astronauts completed six days, two hours and two minutes of joint operations with the station crew.

ISS025-E-006741 (9 Oct. 2010) --- The Soyuz TMA-01M spacecraft approaches the International Space Station, carrying Russian cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri, Soyuz commander and Expedition 25 flight engineer; along with NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka, both flight engineers. Docking of the two spacecraft occurred at 8:01 p.m. (EDT) on Oct. 9, 2010.

One of theExpedition Four crew members on board the orbital outpost used a digital still camera to record this view on April 17, 2002.

S88-E-5046 (12-06-98) --- With Endeavour's astronauts waiting to mate the Russian-built Zarya control module with the U.S.-built Unity connecting module, an electronic still camera (ESC) was used to record this image of the approaching Zarya, backdropped over a blue and white Earth. A small part of Unity can be seen (in uncropped versions of the photo) at right. Using the shuttle's 50-ft.-long Canadian-built robot arm, astronaut Nancy J. Currie, working from Endeavour's aft flight deck, plucked Zarya out of orbit at 5:47 p.m. (CST), Dec. 6. The craft had been orbiting Earth for a little over 16 days prior to the grapple and subsequent docking to Unity. This image was recorded at 23:06:12 GMT, Dec. 6.

ISS021-E-009405 (17 Oct. 2009) --- An unpiloted ISS Progress resupply vehicle approaches the International Space Station, bringing 1,918 pounds of propellant, 110 pounds of oxygen and air, 926 pounds of water and 1,750 pounds of spare parts and supplies for the Expedition 21 crew members aboard the station. Progress 35 docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment at 8:40 p.m. (CDT), Oct. 17, 2009, after a three-day flight from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

ISS020-E-016714 (2 July 2009) --- The Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 20 crew member on the International Space Station during the relocation of the Soyuz from the Zvezda Service Modules aft port to the Pirs Docking Compartment. Cosmonaut Gennady Padalka, commander; along with NASA astronaut Michael Barratt and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Koichi Wakata, both flight engineers, undocked the Soyuz spacecraft at 4:26 p.m. (CDT) and docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment at 4:54 p.m. on July 2, 2009.

ISS028-E-015132 (10 July 2011) --- This is one of a series of images showing various parts of the space shuttle Atlantis in Earth orbit as photographed by one of the six crewmembers on the International Space Station as the shuttle posed” for photo and visual surveys and performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM). An 800 millimeter lens was used to capture this particular series of images.

STS060-15-003 (3-11 Feb 1994) --- This 35mm frame shows the major payloads of the Space Shuttle Discovery's STS-60 mission, backdropped against clouds over the Atlantic Ocean. In the foreground is the SPACEHAB module, with the Wake Shield Facility (WSF) partially visible in its berthed position near the Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS) pods and the vertical stabilizer. Television cameras on the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) were being used for a survey of the cargo. Five NASA astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut went on to spend eight days in Earth orbit in support of the mission.

iss060e014962 (July 27, 2019) --- The re-usable SpaceX Dragon space freighter is in the grips of the Canadarm2 robotic arm shortly after it was captured following a day-and-a-half-long trip that began with a launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida. This was the third flight of this individual spacecraft with its previous flights denoted by two insignia depicting the International Space Station. The Apollo 50th anniversary insignia is also highlighted on the commercial resupply ship.

ISS030-E-241389 (22 April 2012) --- An unpiloted ISS Progress resupply vehicle approaches the International Space Station, carrying 2.8 tons of food, fuel and supplies. The cargo delivery includes 1,988 pounds of propellant, 110 pounds of oxygen and air, 926 pounds of water and 2,703 pounds of spare parts, resupply items and experiment hardware for the residents of the space station. Progress 47 docked to the stations Pirs Docking Compartment at 10:39 a.m. (EDT) on April 22, 2012.
