CAMP SHELBY, Miss. (Jul. 18, 2022) Marines assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 273 places a frame on pillars during the SEAHut project during Operation Turning Point, also known as their Field Training Exercise. Operation Turning Point is an around-the-clock exercise that focuses on constructing advanced bases while maintaining proficiency in tactics and survivability. NMCB 1 is homeported out of Gulfport, Miss. They are conducting an intense homeport training plan to expand their ability to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater operations.

During the competition, two-soldier teams navigate a grueling series of events that push their stress, physical, and emergency medical skills to the limits. Among the many challenges the competitors face are an obstacle course, a physical fitness challenge, land navigation, and stress shoots on a firing range, which test their ability to fight despite difficult conditions. And, competitors medical proficiencies are tested in day and night combat medic lanes that demand effective management of simulated casualties. Competitors progress through all of these exhausting challenges in just 3 days.

AUSTIN, Texas Twenty-two Soldiers, Noncommissioned Officers and Leaders of the 36th Infantry Division’s Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion attended a Ruck Out of Darkness event during Annual Training June 16, 2022, at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. Military Police Soldiers are certified to react if the OC blows back and contaminants them while engaged in stopping a combatant. The Human Electromuscular Incapacitation (HEMI) device luanches an electrode to stun and override the central nervous system of a combatant. The X26 has two barbed projectiles that penetrate up to 2 inches and give an electrical charge to the victim. The electrical charge will make the combatant have involuntary muscle contractions. the effective range for the equipment the 870th MP Company used today was 25 feet. Salisbury, N.C. - Members of the North Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (NCHART) train together on June 20, 2018 in preparation of hurricane season.
