Panel fragment, Medium: cotton on linen Technique: couching for linear outlines and dense areas, chevron stitch on parallel straight stitches, buttonhole filling in the manner of simple looping, an interlaced combination of buttonhole or looped stitches, chain and ladder chain, herringbone stitches on plain weave, Design of foliated scrolls and roundels with the symbols of the four apostles. One roundel shows a lion and the words: 'Sant Mark.' Two other roundels (incomplete) show portions of the Eagle (St. Mathew) and Ox (St. Luke).
