Placenta, the organ is responsible for feto-maternal exchanges. The placenta is constituted of a part originating from the embryo, the chorion, and a maternal face, the decidua, mucosa issue from the modification of the uterius endometrium. It is highly vascularized (arterioles and venules), so as to bring the fetus oxygen and nutrients that are necessary, and evacuate the wastes. Those vessels converge at the level of the umbilical cord, and regroup to form the umbilical vein (in red), transporting the desoxygenated fetal blood towards the placenta, and two umbilical arteries (in blue) bringing the oxygenated blood to the fetus. Projections of the chorion insinuate and develop inside the decidua of the maternal endometrium, these are chorial villosities (in yellow). Those villosities contain fetal capillaries. The maternal blood circulation is constituted of blood sacs, the intervillous spaces. They are alimented in blood by the spiraled arteries (in red) and drained by the uterine ve

The retina is a thin multi-layered membrane covering the inner surface of the eyeball. It is made up of photoreceptors, cones and rods which capture light signals and transform them into electro-chemical signals and neurons which in turn integrate these chemical signals into electrical signals. These will be transported by the optic nerves (in yellow) to the brain. The retina is supplied by the central retinal artery and vein.

Anatomy of the prostate. Located at the neck of the bladder, the prostate surrounds the urethra. It produces secretions, contributing to the formation of sperm, which are expelled by the urethra. A dead-end canal, the prostatic utricle, sinks into the thickness of the prostate, it is a vestige of the Mller ducts, embryonic ducts at the origin of part of the female genital organs and regressing in men. The region of the prostatic urethra in which the ejaculatory ducts and the prostatic utricle open is called the seminal colliculus. The seminal vesicles participate in the formation of sperm, their secretion is discharged into the urethra via the ejaculatory duct. The Cowper glands (or bulbourethral,) are located in the thickness of the urogenital diaphragm.

A delayed reaction releases leukotrienes and cytokines which causes permanent inflammation. Below the inflammation stimulates the differentiation of lymphocytes into Th2 cells. These promote the proliferation of mast cells and the production of IgE specific for the antigen by the B lymphocytes. Specific immunotherapy reduces the production of IgE by the B lymphocytes and promotes the production of IgG which will neutralize the allergen.
