After eating a midnight supper at May's Cafe, (a lorry drivers' 'pull-up' somewhere between London and Manchester), Fred Horrod cleans the windscreen of his 7-ton Leyland lorry before resuming his journey. The original caption states that he will not stop again until he reaches Manchester.
