Tempelhof Airfield Hid Focke-Wulf Assembly Plant -- Inside a section of the great hangers at Tempelhof Airport.Berlins famous Tempelhof Airfield before the war one of the finest and best equipped airports in Europe became during the war an assembly plant for Focke-Wulf aircraft. In the subterranean Passage beneath the great sweep of the airport buildings two assembly lines for F.W. 190s. were laid down. The end of the passage substantially built of reinforced concrete, was bricked up for an aperture thought which the assembled aircraft emerged on to the airfield ready for the test flying.
